Solar parks in Gujarat
Lahmeyer International works with the Clinton Climate Initiative to explore potential for creating Solar Parks
posted 13 Jul 2010 by Lahmeyer International GmbH
Clinton Climate Initiative (CCI) was launched by the Clinton Foundation to create and advance solutions to the core issues driving climate change across cities, forestry and clean energy. CCI is working with national and state governments to assess the potential to create large-scale “Solar Parks”. CCI has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the State of Gujarat, India, to analyze the feasibility of creating one or more “Solar Parks” in the State, each serving as a concentrated zone of solar development with about 3,000 MW of generation capacity.

CCI invited Lahmeyer International to review the potential sites in Gujarat and “red flag” possible risks.
