TÉCNICA - ENGENHEIROS CONSULTORES, LTD, in short TEC, is a private consultant company founded on August 1989 by a group of Mozambican citizens from different areas of specialization. The company began its activity in the building construction sector, as at that time this was the only market for national consulting companies. Since then, TEC has developed competences in other fields by responding to market needs. At present it is working in water and environment, roads and bridges and energy in addition to building construction.
Services provided by TECNICA include: conception, planning, design, supervision and project management of public and private works. TECNICA promotes the use of new technologies and new building materials with a view to using local resources in a more efficient and rational way.
TECNICA has in-house more than 90 members: Architects, Engineers, Technicians (Civil and Electrical), Surveyors and CAD operators. TECNICA enrols whenever necessary specialists in several disciplines (for example social scientists, economists, mechanical engineers etc.) for specific assignments. The office is well equipped. Modern communication means (telephone, fax and e-mail) are available. TECNICA has large experience in working with foreign companies from all over the world, with whom it forms joint-ventures or associations, or can subcontract or be subcontracted.

URBAN PLANNNING - Technical Consultancy for GPZ Projects in TETE. -Pilot Project of Urban Planning, Natite (Bairro de Natite in Pemba was studied in view of improving the quality of life of local residents. An area of 800 ha with a population of about 20.000 was considered. The infrastructure designs included the drainage, water supply, roads and sanitation. Integrated solutions for the market, school, recreational centre and infrastructure were proposed. Proposals for the recovery of the investment were drawn.
