Doosan has so far built over 300 nuclear, thermal, combined cycle and hydro power plants. Doosan is currently building more than 60 power plants in Korea, USA, India, China and other countries. Doosan is fast becoming an EPC contractor as a result of continuous investments and R&D, while also developing wind power systems, fuel cells and environmentally friendly next-generation energy.

Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction Co Ltd, while being Korea’s only company specializing in power plants, employs the highest level of technology especially in the area of nuclear power generation. With its turnkey production lines and management systems for materials, design, construction, testing and services, maintenance
and repair, Doosan is strengthening its position as a leading provider of nuclear power systems in both the Korean and international markets.

Starting with its successful completion of the Farasan Desalination Plant (Saudi Arabia), Doosan has been strengthening technological and marketing capabilities to become the world’s largest supplier of desalination systems.

Since 1982, Doosan Casting and Forging BG(Business Group) has been manufacturing large casting and forging products for the supply of basic and key materials to domestic and overseas power/industrial plants.

Construction BG, devoting itself to enhancing social infra structure in the field of civil and plant construction, engineering and commissioning, has successfully completed various types of major projects on a turnkey basis for more than 20 years.

Typical Projects

Turbines and Generators - recently Doosan has been recognized as the world class player supplying completed D11 steam turbines to the General Electric company.

Nuclear Power Plants - 15 built since Yonggwang Nuclear Power Plant 1 & 2 in 1976, Shin-Wolsong completed in 2006, and six more currently under construction.

Industrial Plants - Doosan Industrial BG is carrying out all the processes from designing to manufacturing/installation of all types of transportation systems

Desalination Plants - from Farasan in Saudi Arabia to the Ras Laffan Project(2006)and with many more such projects on-going, Doosan has provided desalination plants for middle eastern countries including; Oman, Kuwait, Qatar and Libya.

Casting and Forging - has the capacity to supply Casting & Forging component for power plant including 1,000MW nuclear power facilities & 800MW power generation systems and for steel plant including ‘mill housing’ and ‘back up rolls’. Other manufactured items include crankshafts for marine engines, plastic mold steel and various industrial products.

Construction - Construction BG(Business Group), devoting itself to enhancing social infra structure in the field of civil and plant construction, engineering and commissioning, has successfully completed various types of major projects on a turnkey basis for more than 20 years. Our projects include highways, subways, high-speed railroads, tunnels, gas pipelines, intelligent buildings, apartments, transmission lines and nuclear, thermal, combined cycle and pump storage hydro plants.
