Egypt Integrated Irrigation Improvement Project - IIIMP Consulting Services for the Integrated Irrigation Improvement Project. This project aims at rehabilitating water management infrastructure in the project areas with water users’ participation in the core of the improvement process. IIIMP aims also at achieving reform of government institutions through the development of Integrated Water Management Districts and training them to carry O&M tasks in an integrated manner. Kenya Kimira Olouch Small Holder Farm Improvement Project Technical Assistance consultancy on Marketing Extension & Organizational Support. The project component comprises support to farmers through training of farmers, support to extension workers through training and market linkages. The Consultant will provide marketing expertise, legal advice, training, mobilize community on Irrigation Water Use Association. Kenya Bura Irrigation and Resettlement Rehabilitation Project It is comprised of a temporary pumping station equipped with four (4) pumps at Nanighi with a total discharge of 5.8 m3/s, a settling basin, a 50 km main canal, 11 km branch canals and 10 night storage reservoirs. Infrastructure for thirteen (13) sections or villages which was developed to farm level was also constructed but has deteriorated completely since it has never been utilized. Infrastructure for gravity water diversion and rehabilitate existing ones for effective conveyance and distribution of irrigation water. The major components of the project will include:- Construction of diversion facilities at Korakora, River bank protection works, sedimentation basin, connecting canal (26km). Rehabilitation of main and secondary canal irrigation and drainage infrastructure. Rehabilitation of buildings, domestic water supply and electricity supply. Capacity building of NIB staff and farmers. Enhancement of operation and maintenance equipments. Malibya Agriculture Company – the Republic of Mali Extension of Bokwere Tributary with total length of 40 km and its parallel road with the same length. The project is meant to encourage foreign investors to invest in the agricultural sector with purpose of increasing rice and cereals cultivations, work opportunities for the area inhabitants, raising the standard of living. A 40 km long canal will be constructed inside Bokewere Tributary to convey water to irrigate 100,000 ha., with all related structures. Malawi Survey, Design, Preparation of Bidding Documents and Construction Supervision for Small Reservoirs Rehabilitation The project has four main components: 1) Irrigation Rehabilitation and Development 2) Farmer Services and Livelihoods Fund, 3) Institutional Development and Community Mobilisation, and 4) Project Coordination, Monitoring and Evaluation. The study will contribute to the realization of Component 1: Irrigation Rehabilitation and Development, of the IRLAD Project, through the detailed designing of rehabilitation of viable small earth dams in the project area. The specific objective of the study is to verify, assess, survey and produce detailed designs for the rehabilitation of 5 small-earth dams in Lilongwe and 3 in other programme districts, including the design of related irrigation infrastructure covering a total of approximately 160 ha . Sao Tomé Potable Water Supply to Agua Clara District, located in Sao Tome. The project covers Agua Clara district which is situated to the north and western north area of Sao Tomy, the capital. Cote d'Ivoire Feasibility study for Reclamation of 900 ha.in the northern western region. Economic study and detailed design for components of irrigation system, soil study, agri-studies, socio-economic studies, climatic and hydraulic studies, civil engineering study to determine and design the required structures of irrigation, and environmental impact assessment. This project covers Odienne, Man kono, Séguelat and Touba. Objectives are to establish 9 dams, reclaim 900 ha. of low lands, develop rice cultivation, develop livestock and fish production, trees cultivation, train farmers and form association of beneficiaries. Yemen 3 rural roads Upgrading of rural roads with total length of 900 km of the main road network and rural access roads which is expected to be maintained by PMMR contracts, and provision of technical assistance, training, and studies under Phase I of the Rural Access Program.
