General description

As an independent firm of consulting engineers, Lahmeyer International (LI) offers a wide range of planning and consultancy services, primarily for complex infrastructure projects in energy, hydropower and water resources as well as transportation. Dating back to 1890 and bearing the name of Wilhelm Lahmeyer, a pioneer in electrification, the company has a national reputation as the engineering branch of the former Lahmeyer AG.

Established in 1966 as a globally operating organisation, LI has since provided consulting engineering services to utilities, governments, financing institutions, development banks and the private sector, earning a distinguished reputation in the thermal, hydropower and renewable power sector.

LI is presently active in more than 100 with experience in 165 countries and has established affiliate companies, subsidiaries, branch and representative offices to cater for international clientele.
